Logan's X-23 Dafne Keen Has Bagged Her Next Movie Role

The break out star of Logan – Wolverine's mysterious younger protégé of sorts Laura (or X-23 as she's otherwise known) – has just landed her next movie part.

According to Deadline, Dafne Keen has bagged the title role in the upcoming Ana, which she'll star in alongside Luis Guzman when filming begins next month in Puerto Rico.

The indie flick will follow Ana (Keen) and Rafa (Guzman) after a chance encounter leads them to a road trip, as they try to save Rafa from bankruptcy – or worse.

The movie is written by Chris Cole and will be directed by House of Cards and The Good Wife's Charles McDougal. Luillo Ruiz will be producing.

Keen's break-out role was in the brilliant Logan, where she played a mutant with similar powers to Wolverine himself, with an even more tragic backstory.

Unlike Wolverine, Laura only has two claws on each of her hands and retractable claws on each foot – oh, and she actually managed to survive, too.

Logan's tragic ending left fans struggling to cope with the loss of Caliban, Charles Xavier and even Wolverine himself, something even Hugh Jackman wasn't ready to accept.

"It was always floated that Logan would possibly die," he recently admitted. "I said, 'Let's be open, because it may be more powerful for him not to die.'"
